.lunlors f f + One of the blggest freshmen classes that thlg 1nst1tut1on of lealnlng had ever seen over ran the hlgh school 1n the fall of 1940 There were slxty f1V6 of us but by the end of the year the number had dwlndled trxfle In 1941 a great number of us fame back for more educatlon Our class as ln the year before took an actlve part IH the varlous 3Ct1Vlt1QS ln school Thls year 1942 our thlrd year 1n hlgh school we elected as our 0fflC6lb Max Moore presldent Guy Evans v1ce presldent Adeha Zook secretary treasurer and B111 Tlffln member of the Athletic Board of Control Our class has always been an ambltlous and lndustrlous one and we kept our record thls year We took part 1n clubs chorus band student dlrectlng and news staff We also had several promlslng boys ln the fleld of sports On March 12 we gave a 1un1or party and en1oyed refreshments of apple ple wlth 1ce cream and cokes Our candldate for queen Jean Funk was chosen queen by the student body and crowned at the homecomlng program In November we gave our 1un1or class play Calm Yourself On Aprll 9 we were entertalned at a pal ty glven by the senlors We w ere hosts and hostesses at the Junlor Senxor receptlon on May 6 Next year we hope to be back to do blgger and better thlngs lllltll f ulllfum 0 1 m L X ut nt 1 l:.1ghte-en s- O .
