We trust that your time spent in the quest of knowledge in the Belvidere High School has been pleasant and fruitfulg that as you go through life, many happy memories of the high school years will come to your thoughts. You have reached one goal set for yourself. There is great satisfaction in the culmination of this event. The friends made in school last a lifetimeg the experiences acquired will never be forgotten. So it is with knowledge, Many times you have wondered why certain subjects were required or why a teacher drilled so long on a particular subject. The answer to this cannot be found at this moment, but sometime during a lifetime to come, you will realize the need for this certain knowledge. Perhaps it will be only a quiz program, but you will be glad you know the answer, The Belvidere Board of Education wishes the best of everything to the members of the Graduating Class of l954. The second is to improve the school life in general. The success of these high aims de- pends on the cooperation of every student and the hard work of every council member. This year the council has tried to fulfill these purposes and at the same time build a stronger organization which will improve in the years to come. ,,,.,.--. 41 Advisors and members of the Executive Committee of the New Iersey Association of High School Councils meeting at B. Beiore the season opened, three varsity holdovers from last year's strong team were lost because of injuries. Throughout the season injuries to team members continued to hamper Coaches Vowinkel, Mattison and Colangelo in their efforts to field a winning eleven. Despite the ill fortune to the team we saw a team that thrilled everyone with its high scoring, wide open brand of football and its never say die spirit. Seniors departing from the gridiron wars are: George Burd, Iack Sweet, Claude Rudd, Lyle Crosson, Emil Gatti, Howard Steckel, Donald Gruver, Frank Pearce, Bob Linaberry, Pete Knoedler, Bob Swanson, Larry Hallett, Douglas Geis, Iay Van Horn and Iohn Laue. These boys will all be missed when the fall rolls around again next year. TEAM RECORD Belvidere Belvidere Belvidere Belvidere Belvidere Belvidere if nine 13 ....
