CLASS HISTORY We were anxious to start our new life at B.H.S., so in September 1943, we put on our Sunday clothes and set out on our four-year journey, happy but scared. It didn't take us long to get acquainted and to find the correct rooms-just a matter of a few months. We chose Doc Buchman to act as our guide on the beginning of this journey, Alan DePuy as our vice-president, Shirley Kostenbader to count the money and Margaret Read to keep the minutes of our monthly gatherings. Because the boys were so bashful we decided to hold a Leap Year dance and give the girls a chance. Not only was the dance successful, so were the girls. Now we were sophomores, and we went right to work initiating the freshmen. We again selected Doc Buchman as our president, Clayton Kosten- bader became vice-president and Shirley and Margaret continued their positions of treasurer and secretary. We kept up our social standing by giving our Foot- ball Hop, one of our most outstanding dances. Then came our junior year. This time we elected Curtis Marc as president, Leo Smith, vice-president, Liz Guiler, treasurer, and Doris Denker, secretary. We got off to a good start by giving one of the best-liked plays ever presented at B.H.S., Spring Green.
