Wl1at's l'lappening?'l 1VHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? The 1972 LAIR attempts to answer these questions in relaying what the year '71-'72 at Belton High School were all about. Many new faces were seen on campus this year, including a whole new class-the freshmen, which added approximate ly 250 students to the total enrollment of Belton High School. Along with the new students, many new teachers were seen on campus, too, due to the addition of a new voca- tional building, which added several new classes to the school program, and a new English department in the base- ment, which was completed after school started. WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES-OLD The vocational building and the new English department were two new sites seen on the Belton campus this year. The voca- tional building contributed to several new classes this year, in- cluding auto mechanics pictured at the bottom. The auditorium was a new experience this year, too, due to the late finishing of the English department construction. English classes were held there, giving everyone at least one air condition- ed class, which was appreciated. Along with the new happenings the old scenes were still evident on campus, such as the rush in the halls and the grabbing of any extra time to study for the next class, whatever and wherever it might be. The game ended with the Tigers trailing 20-6 after Lockhart made another touchdown in the fourth quarter. 2 x K K .nv BEL TON VS. DEL VALLE 23-I4 The Tigers played a strong second half to come from a losing first half score of 3-14 to a winning score of 23-14 over the Cardinals.
