SUPERINIENDENVS MESSAGE T It is always a pleasure to be asked by a graduating class to pen one last word to be recorded in its yearbook, yet it is always a challenge to find a way to present the same old advice so that it will not appear stale -L-I and trite. I ,A 'N -.2-we 1 One can scarcely dare hope, also, that any final word of advice will gli 33 X' be any more heeded now than during the past four years, just because it . X Q X is included in the class yearbook. Nevertheless, I sincerely congratulate the Class of '56 on its X B achievement of one important step toward success in our society -- the high school diploma, Much has been said recently about the economic value of a high school education. It is truly becoming more and more of a necessity, but, because of the greater number of students involved, and the concept of a high school education for all who are able and willing to take advantage of it, the student who would seek real knowledge, and whose desire for information has only been sharpened by high school, must look to further education to help him find his rightful place and greatest success. Think of high school graduation as only your first step, and of these words of James D. Freeman: A hill is not too hard to climb Taken one step at a time. One step is not too much to take, One try is not too much to make. One step, one try, one song, one smile, Will shortly stretch into a mile. And everything worth while was done By small steps taken one by one. To reach the goal you started for, Take one step more -- take one step more! is 77'2a,Az1Mf00 SCHOOL BOARD i LAVINA STEHLIK, Clerk C. O.
