,P i BELT BUCKLE' QPJYIL-:E X lg , Coach Mac MacDonald went through a lot of worrying about his team which was a success and we all hope he's back next year and puts out a State Championship Team. Right End-Howard Wix Wixson, a very valuable man in catching, passing, running down punts, and blocking end runs, will hold down the same position on next year's team. He is a two year letterman. Right Tackle-Eddie Butcher Boy Florek towered about 6 feet in the air and was good for looking into the other teams' plays and he broke up a number of them this year. This is Butch's second year and will be back next year. Right Guard-George Liz Ford was the smallest man on the line, but there weren't many plays tried through George's side. He knew just what to do and surely did it. This is George's second and last year on the squad. He will be missed next year. Center-Andrew Bundy Harcharick has played this position for three years and after next year he will leave it for someone else to hold down. Bundy is an accurate passer and knew where every play was going. Left Guard-Arthur Nordy Nordquist was always on the job and played good interference for the backs on all end runs and fakes. Nordy will be back next year and will be used, I'm sure. This is his first year on the eleven. Left Tackle-Steve Pick Bodner always took his man out and was ready for more. Steve will be missed next year, but that's not saying he's not going to make the college freshman team. Left End-Charles Chuck Klimas held down a responsible position and was always on the job. He was exceptionally good on the receiving end of a pass. He never missed. This is Chuck's first and last year. Three Cheers for Chuck! BELT BUCKLE Quarter Back and Captain--Myron Beets Johnson was at the passing end of passes and tried, always, to get the ball into the arms of his ends. Beets is a three year letterman and will not report next year. Left Halfback- Mutt . Leland was the shortest and smallest fellow on the outfit. He was very good at rolling into his opponents and taking them out. Mutt will make better next year. Watch his dust! Right Halfback-James Jim Irvin was the only freshman and cer- tainly did his part in all the games. He will do better in the future. How about it Jim? Yes or No ? Right Tackle-Walfred Balfry Salo got in only a few games, but he showed up well. He will do better next year. Full Back-Sigurd Slippery Johnson was the best line smasher we had and always had a cool head. Slips has played his last year for B. V. H. S. and surely will be heard of in College. W Bill Remington played against Great Falls and fractured his skull, which put him out for the remainder of the football year. Bill was a good kicker and very accurate. This is Bill's last year in High School. Subs-Mike Mickey Kennedy, sub quarter, James Jim Provin, sub lineman, Ben Hirano, sub back, Clarence Snap Jewell, sub end and Leo Red Beaudry will all be back next year to earn their letters. Their work this year was responsible for the good work of the regulars. Mike Mickey Kennedy, sub quarter, James Jim Provin, sub line- man, Ben Hirano, sub back, Clarence Snap Jewell, sub end and Leo Red Beaudry will all be back next year to earn their letters. Their work this year was responsible for the good work of the regulars. Earl Kennedy, Doctor last but not least, will be back next year. Do your stuff, black-bottom. GREAT FALLS SECONDS AT GREAT FALLS The first game of the season was played at Great Falls versus Great Falls Seconds. The game was interesting and signs of football were shown. The score at the half was 6 to 6. The score at the end was 13 to 7 in Great Falls' favor. There were a number of injuries, Bill frac- tured his skull 3 Beets broke his nose 3 Jim broke a few ribs and many received blood poisoning. All the men felt that training was necessary. CHOTEAU AT FAIRFIELD The following week-end game was posted at Fairfield. The Choteau squad came down determined to win and did. They were considerably heavier and could make from ten to fifteen yards through Belt's line at any time. The game ended with a score of twenty-five to six. Belt was the first to cross Choteau's line for two years. FORT BENTON AT FORT BENTON ' The week following Choteau's game we had to motor seventy miles and play the Fort Benton eleven. Their team was more of a match to our squad and we won with a score of thirteen to six, showing the team what a victory was like. s s s r' ' 'wf l928 ff 'efw-Aww wwf-'H--W' snag? l ft fill
