BELT BUCKLE . My JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY The brave and hardy pioneers in the class of '29 started the undertak- ing of the perilous journey across the wide plains of B. V. H. S. in a huge prairie schooner, propelled and guided by the wisdom of the faculty and the will-power of the class itself. This journey of many joys and hard- ships commenced in 1925 and in that year, although some became faint hearted and turned back, we fought many of our battles victoriously, which gave us a high standing among the earlier settlers of the school. We have picked up a few travelers along the trail who have been a great help in solving our problems. As we have moved along unhampered by any obstacles which came our way, we have left trail marks to help other weary classmen over the rocks. Our B will always be remembered fespecially by the frosh when white-washing time comesj as a footstone to the success of our noble class of frontiersmen. Our sturdy athletes, who have participated in so many high school games and caused them to come out victoriously in almost all undertakings, will be an inspiration to their followers. They broke a trail, very clean and wide and they will continue their good work until the goal is reached, Graduation, We have had but one teamster these three years, Alex Childerhose, who has held the reins tight and has guided our schooner safely along the unknown trail. Our pioneers have been enthusiastic from the start and have been held as a good example for incoming settlers to the school. Mrs. MacDonald, our faithful guide, for two years has brought us safely and together through thick and thin. j The highest and steepest hill on our trail in the third year of our journey was the Junior Prom, which brought together a goodly share of the pioneers who have traveled the rocky road before us and have helped in being our inspiration. Our Prom was surely a success, for no one person could handle a bunch of stubborn mules and drive our schooner through these years better than our teamster and with all the hardy pioneers who rode in our wagon working together, how could it have been otherwise? Our Prom went over the top without any injury to our prairie schooner which has carried us along for three years and which can easily carry us another without much exertion on its part. Our brave crew has only one year left before winning our long worked for goalg after that we are independent settlers and we can look back on our perilous journey as a well written page in the Book of Time. -Dorothy Nelson. 1 1 W 1 9 2 8 ' T ' Wm ' ' A Th irty-One
