Many honors and awards were added to their previous record: two first place awards at the Fifth Annual Band-O-Rama in Mariettag a superior rating at the District Competition in lrontong a second and third rating in compe- tition with the best bands east of the Mississippi River at the Virginia Beach Music Festival in June 1966g an impressive performance at the Spring Concert in April 1967. The Belpre Band has been very deserving of the recognition they have received, which makes us swell with pride. This has been a very productive year for the Belpre High School Band, because behind every band is a man that keeps urging them on to greater pinnacles of success. This one man who works constantly with the Belpre High School Band, Jr. Band 86 Beginner Band should be honored for his time, effort, and patience by the school. He has done a tremen- dous job building this band and establishing its reputation as a fine marching and concert band. We wish to thank you, Mr. Vaughn, for a job well done and we hope that you will continue to make the Belpre High School Band the best in the District. We know wherever the band travels the audi- ence will remember not only the fine performance but also the man responsible for its excellence - Mr. Vaughn. is , I . 3 if 0-5 Til mum Senior Band officers display awards won by the B, H, S, .-...--L:-- L-...1 7' Q D1SU'1CI COIIIPCIIIIOD WIDHCIS Z Acquiring the school spirit needed to cheer our athletes to victory, would be impossible without the lively Pep Band.
