We try to give you an accurate record of the spirit and some of the activities of our 1700 students. We cannot possibly begin to record all the year's events, but we hope to catch enough of them that you will cherish this little book as a glimpse of your youth. The selection of football queen is our plan for bringing you some special glamour photos. The photography committee usually finds it refreshing to run errands on study-hall time, but all our advertising, paste-up and typing is our own contribution to your book. So we offer it to you with our compliments, and hope you will find it of lasting interest. Those who advertise in the Belhio help buy your copy, so will you please read their pages, too, and then go to buy from their stores! 1 1,1 High School Choir i 'V' Under the enthusiastic and energetic direction of our new music teacher, Miss Pat Mel- cher, our vocal music classes have prepared a number of special programs, as well as learn- ing a considerable number of new songs. New methods have been used in editing and printing the publi- cation which replaces the one known for many years as the Argus . Professional printing, an enlarged advertising section, several specialty features, and a very complete coverage of school activities have made the new Golden Eagle very well received. With the careful instruction in library techniques by Mrs. Hereford, our official Librarian, the new li- brary aides are proving valuable helpers in this now-very-busy department. An excellent selection of new books, improved storage space reading tables, and a modern filing system, have brought our library to a high standard of usefulness. This can be very readily observed in the increased use of reference assignments.
