Well, first you must sell the Belhio itself, and then you must sell ads for this book which is not yet even started. After that, pictures must be taken, and from then on until early spring, various committies take turns spending their evenings at the Cowell's, cutting, pasting, fitting, and refitting until we hope we have pictured as nearly as possible everyone of the thousand Cmore or lessl people in our Belpre school system. We hope we have spelled every name correctly. In short, we hope We will bring back to you for years to come happy memories of this school year. I The Argus, our school paper, is published every two months under the supervision of Mrs. Georgia Jones, who has been aided by Mrs. Maxwell this year. The staff is made up of high school students. It publishes news of the high school, sports, articles by the students, special features for the students, and late social events. Also, it has included a page of Junior High news. Instead of having the Argus printed, the staff mimeographs it and are able to cover more news of the high school. This year, the Argus has been very successful. tudent Council BOTTOM ROW, Left to Right: Rochelle Vennari, Cathy Reynolds, Gail Garrett, Connie Springs- ton, Otto'Ledsome. This is the fourth year we have had a driver'straining course taught at the high school. Our instructor is Mr. Carroll. In this class along with learning safe driving habits, we also learn how our car operates and many of its different parts. We wish to extend our thanks to our very capable instructor, Mr. Carroll, for his patience and kindness. SPanish Club The Spanish Club is open to all members of the Spanish classes. Parties are planned to supplement class work by study of food, music, and personalities from other countries. The program this year included a chili supper at Cowell's cottage at Veto Lake for club members and their friends, a pinata party near Thanksgiving time with Dr.Wen-Yu Cheng who is a professor at Marietta College. Mrs. Cheng, their , 49- children, Dewitt and Marietta, and Mrs. Cheng's sister, Miss Yeimei Huang, who is a student at Marietta Collegeg and a party with Roberto Rincon of Venezuela as guest. Several members of the club attended the International Christmas party sponsored by the language classes at Marietta College. We had a float in the homecoming parade. With the beautiful senoritas, the sleepy hombres, and our beautiful home- made burro, we're just sure that we would have won the prize if we had not had a flat tire just before we reached the judges' stand! r,O BELPQE 'bw 5 g-2 gl gl Q Junlor- emor Prom 'B 2 CU 57 Z .2 L3 is CU N1 ef- -4 ..-4-4 wr: an Li? 0 HQ jj.-.1 :EQ fl FO .C OU PLL!
