FINNEGAN P resid rn I 'SECURITY CUUNCIL As the graduating class in this year of 1945, we realize that our problems and our requirements have added to the responsibility as well as increased the load of work of the Superintendent of Schools. No past experience nor precedent writes the answer to these current conditions nor to the future outlook which is still in the clouds. Our silent prayer Well may be that We never shall again have to know War and the conditions which ac- company it. To the man Whose heart and well-trained mind has so skillfully planned and guided the course of our public schools, We hereby express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude. The School Board, has likewise spent much time mak- ing the Beloit Public School System efficient and superior. It met in the Superintendenfs office the Hrst Tuesday of every month and sometimes oftener to settle problems and arrange the much detail that must be planned for a school system. Officers of the Board were: Dr. L. R. Finnegan, Presi- dent, Mr. C. E. Macklem, Vice President and Florence Mischler, Secretary. Members at the Board Were: Mrs. G. W. Cass, Col. R. P. Robinson, Dr. L. R. Finnegan, Mr. V. M. Hansen, Mr. John Schneiberg and Mr. C. E. Macklem. To the board, this graduating class expresses its appreciation. gf. S sagem s is E. C. E.
