FOB NMENT The Beloit Band, consisting of 73 members, participated in many activities throughout the year. In the fall the marching band attended the Fort Hays State Marching Contest where they received a II rating. They attended the Hutchinson State Fair, played and performed at four home games and marched in Homecomings and Veterans' Day parades . The concert band played a winter concert, and a spring concert, and at the District Music Festival received a II rating. The dance band, sporting new dance band fronts and new blue coats, played for a school dance, three out of town proms and for both class plays. As a climax of the year's activities, all band members presented a colorful Mexican Fiesta show complete with a street scene, a bull fight and a night club. Individually, several members of the band received superior ratings for solos at District and State Festivals, and several ensembles also received high ratings . r ,xx -1 it BAND OFFICERS: K.
