Mr. John S. Morrell has been super- intendent of Beloit High for twenty-six years. Before superintendent he was principal of Beloit High. Mr. Morrell received his Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri University for post grad- uate work. Other than school activities he devotes much of his time as first vice-president of the Community Hospital Board, Board of Building and Loan Association. Mr. Morrell is a Master Builder of KSTA, Life Member of NEA, and the past president of the Rotary Club. ln the picture below Mr. Morrell dictates a letter to his secretary Betty Conley. uperintendent . .. Mr. E, M, Chestnut has been principal of Beloit High for twenty-six years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University o Kansas in 1921. In 1929 he received a Master of Science degree in history from Kansas State. Mr. Chestnut is a member of the board of directors of the Kansas State Teachers Association, and is the organ- izer of the Beloit relays which take place every year. 1-Ie is a member of the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. Every year he encourages pep assemblies, helps with class activities and takes an interest in each individual student. In the picture below Mr. Chestnut works with his secretary Sharon Gaskill.
