It was a rare moment when the above picture was snapped because all nine students of the staffs were busy working in the classroom on The B. H. S. Life or the Trojan Yearbook. THEY ARE: Pat Powell, Judy Donker, Penny White, Donita Selichuow, Mr. Wiebe, Nancy Gaskill, Linda Jordan, Gloria Miller, Ron McCune, Helen Hull, .Iournali In Class Puhlihes 'Life' and 'Trojan The journalism class, made up of nine seniors met third hour each day and published 16 issues of The B. H. S. Life, and the largest yearbook ever assembled at Beloit High School, a book of 72 pages. The staffs listed below were appointed by Theodore Wiebe, adviser, early in the fall: B. I-I. S. Carol Clark At second semester Penny White was appoint- ed art editor to replace Carol Clark who dropped from school. and The national appear In November the Life Staff entered the Kansas Health Tuberculosis Association School Press Project contest. entry, after winning in the state contest, was sent to the contest for competition. Writeups of the press clippings to the right. Linda Jordan and Nancy Gaskill were the recipients of the annual certificate and letter awards given for outstanding work on publications in award assembly at the close of school. THIS AND IS WHEN IT OUR COMES PEP TO CLUB LOTS WHOSE OF SPIRIT YELLS BOOsTs THEY , OUR REALLY ARE TEAM SUPREME! Judy Kent, Sarah Toburen, Head-cheerleader, Jocile Mastin, Diane Street, Bernadine Heller. Yell Helped llur Team.. The pep club under the able leader- ship of Miss Phyllis Struble, Donita Selichnow, and Jocile Mastin, had a prosperous year. Approximately 97070 of the girls joined to help boost the team. Some of the activities in which the club participated was ice cream social, sack lunch, food sale, and helped with special events for football , basketball, and track. FRESHMAN CHEERLEADERS: Leia Wooster, Barbara Hazen, Betty Aulclridge, Karol Durham, Sheryl Knarr.
