They have made appearances at Rotary Club, Lions Club, lodges, church orlganizations, senior and junior play, El s Club, and the annual S ring Concert. All of these groups, witlpi the exception of the sophomore trio, received I ratin s at the District Festival and were eligibfe to enter the State Contest where they were rated as follows: Double Sextet I, and the Freshman Sextet and Senior Trio II's. SOPHOMORB TRIO: Martha File Cathy Barber, and Kay Reiter. FRESHMAN SEXTET: Wonda Watson, Billie Lou Campbell, Joan Beardmore, Rosemary Wineinger, Julianne Pruitt, and Judy Kent.

Those who received I ratings at the district I festival were the flute quartet, mixed clarinet quartet, brass sextet, and drum trio. They also all received I ratings at the state festival. Receiving a rating of II at the district festival were the clarinet quartet, cornet trio, and cornet quartet. The trombone quartet received a III rating at the district festival. Besides playing at the festivals, these groups have performed at church programs, various club meetings, and school assemblies. Simmons. The mixed ensemble and choir are selected groups of 15 and 30 respectively who are chosen from the mixed chorus to provide many of the different or an- izations and special ensembles wi talented entertainment. The ensemble honored Beloit this year by making a I rating at the district festival in Concordia an a II at the state festival at Hays.
