, W We came from Rodgers Grade School. We came from Field Grade School enior Mdfory Sixty-six green freshmen began their march toward a higher education at Beloit High School in the fall of 1950. The freshmen entered into such activities as music and sports, and the organizations of Y-Teens, Hi-Y, FFA., and Pep Club with much determination. Leading the active class was Delmar Briney as president, with Carol Hackett as vice-president and Cynthia Ross as secretary- treasurer. ' As sophomores, the class of 1954 entered even more into the activities and responsibility of high school. They elected Joyce Slaven to be their leader, with Larry Hewitt as vice-president, Vonda Van Pelt as secretary, and Curtis Norris as treasurer. Sixty-one juniors enrolled in the fall of 1952 with David McDonald as president, Joe Yager as vice-president, Joyce Jones as secretary and Dorothy Henderson as treasurer. An outstanding event of the year was the production of Little Women by the Class of '54. The class of 1953 entertained the juniors at the senior-junior reception in the fall with the theme of Blue Hawaii. In the spring, the juniors honored the seniors with a formal banquet using the theme Springtime in Paris. Completing the yea-r, the class of 1954 began their senior year with fifty-nine membersi Leading the seniors was Larry Hewitt, with Max Miller as vice-president, Donna Haskins as secretary, and Darrell Hosler as treasurer. The seniors entertained the Class of 1955 with a reception in Winter Wonderland. ln the spring, the juniors honored we seniors with a formal banquet with the theme of Spring- time in the South. Another important event of the year was the senior play entitled Father Was A Housewife. We seniors, as well as the underclassmen may well be proud of the seven senior boys who did such an outstanding job on our basketball team this year. As the class of 1954 leaves the Halls of Troy to go out into the world to gain an even higher education, or use the education it al- ready has, it leaves behind just memories and takes with it a better understanding of how to be a more useful citizen. 4 We came from other schools.
