Leading the point makers was Larry Cheatham with his sterling dash performances and ex- cellent work of the relay teams. He set a new record of 23 seconds in the 220 yard dash. Next was the mile relay team which had a good record and a number of trophies to show for the efforts during the season. Vernon McKee, Larry Cheatham, John Knight and Bob Petterson ran on the team most of the time with Johnny Gildersleeve being used part of the time.
