ANNUAIL STAIFIF Completing its twentieth year, is the 1941 Trojan year- book. Existing for the purpose of giving to the students of Beloit High school a photographic description of their yearly activities, the Trojan is the result of many hours of concentrated work. The staff is composed of the Journalism class, school photographers, typists, and artists who voluntarily gave their talent and time to make a model yearbook. Unlike other years no editor was chosen. However, Patricia Lundblade acted in that capacity. Rebecca Vallette, who has served on the annual staff for three years has been appointed editor for next Year. The book was financed mainly by the senior play, June Mad. 1. Miss Kirtland, sponsor, assuring everyone that after it's all over, it really was a pleasure to put out the yearbook. 2. THURSD xi APRIL '14 Senior Class Presents Entertaining Play June Mad Delights a Large Audience at the Municipal Auditorium Last Night. A few days ago somebody had a bright idea to present the 1941 B.H.S. Senior class play at the municipal auditorium instead of the high school auditorium as adv- ertised. It developed that the idea was a constructive one, and the three-act comedy entitled June Mad was excellently presented last night for the enjoyment of a large audience that filled the ma- jor portion of the main floor and every seat in the balcony. The part of Van Veek was play- ed by Lorraine Chestnut in typ- ical Beau Brumme1 fashion, while Roy Jordan as Chuck, was likewise well suited to his char- acterization. Ralph Pruitt was splendid in the role of Chuck's unsympatlietic father. Dr. Wood, who forgot that he gave his wife a book of ardent poems, and failed to remember that when a young man he was June mad, was portrayed in typ- ical parent style by Richard Hen- ry.
