This year the Student Council consists of nine freshmen,five sophomores, four juniors end eight seniors. President--------------Halden Kennedy Vice President.................Rachel Grau Sec. -Treas. --------------------John Smith Page twenty-two Mr. Chestnut, principel, sponsors this organ-izetion with the president as an aide. Sponsoring lyceum numbers is tne main project of the student Council. Among t.iese sponsored this year are: The Magic of Science, Glenn Morris; Under the Nortnern Lights, Sidney Montague; the Hanley Marionettes; and the Streaivarius String Quartet. The Student Council also operated the concession stand at the basKetball games, solo megic slates, and promoted the sale of activity tickets. The awards given at the end of each year for outstanding wotk in scholarship enc debate are purchased by the school’s student governing body.

Beloit High School made application for membership in the National Honor Society in April, 1J31. Since that time 55 Beloit students have become members. The organization is sponsored by Mr. Chestnut, principal.
