The latter personage we came to know better than ever in the Sixth Form. The original Fifteen were: Chris Arterton, David Brooks, Henry Davidson, Tom Delaney, Ronnie Evans, Perky lfalwell, Nat l.add, jim MacMahon, Aug Meyer, Bolt Nickels, Art Norton, Crawford Sweeley, Holi Turran, Alex Varkas, and johnny VVelch. I-light of us made itz D, Brooks, UI. lVlaclN1ahon, A. Meyer, R. R. D, Nickels, A. Norton, R. Turran, A. Yarkas, and VVelch. A l,ower School soccer teatn was formed for the first time, and everyone got their First glimpse of Nat The VViZard on skates. Mr. Gregg taught Geography, and Mr. Croke drilled numliers into us. The Good Deacon tried vainly to instill some Wagner and sotne Potnp and Circumstance into us. The syn- apses were not yet connected. We tried to connect them during rest period, liut Red Horse Hill offered little stimu- lation. GRADIC SIX: We added l,ewis Goodman, Kenny Yeates, lioth Duncans, john McGonagle, Alan Fishman, Doug St. Clair, and our omnipresent president, Nick Wessell. This year marked the coming of Newt Morton and the stardom of Mack the Canuck on the l.ower School Hockey team. Educa- tion was lieginning to lie felt, and Yeates dazzled for one day in the math class of the old Mr. Smith, never to he heard from again. lfveryone took the Greyhound Bus trip to the Navy Yard, and it rained on Fenway Park day. Mr. D. started giving half- hours to Mciiooch, and never stopped. By the end of the year, the latter had thirty-two of them frotn the former. Base liall came, and with the Seventh Grade away on D-Day, we got the liig steps for the first time. Meyer got an honor pin, and we were almost l.ower School Seniors. GRADE Sl'iVl'ilN: We added Paul Gill, Holi Russo, Steve Wleller, Holi Nicholson, Bolt Downes, Hill Silk, Tflliot Harring- ton, and Boli Kargman. This was the year that we weren't liossed around any more. No, sir! The first day of school Silky found hitnself unlisted in all the school's records, and asked around. Finally, they agreed to let him stay. Steve Weller turned out to lie the missing IBM machine of lotta. Soccer and tootliall waxed strong, and shoulder pads were liaekwards on the uninformed. The Midgets started a long winning streak, and liroke it later. Norton and Machlahon had some voice troulile in the play, liut the dancing went otfquite well. Good- man exchanged math for l.atin answers with anyone and the l.ower School Choir went to the Morgan Memorial to sing liut found that the Deacon had forgotten the music. lfinis, l.ower School singing. Hockey again, and Kargman had two ques- tions. Kargman came liack from Florida looking not as white as when he had left. Baseliall and scavenger hunts were here, and Mr. Morton worried aliout the lfay game. Nicholson started down his long road of losing deliates as the powerful Pawnees swept again. lt' only they could have stayed out of troulile. There was D-Day, for tis this titne, and people fished and looked at antique Chevies and l ahds. Doug St. Clair seemed liound for greatness, as his mother said, and we were in the upper school all ofa sudden.
