Business Administration Business Administration is one of the most outstanding and well-developed divi- sions ofthe school's curriculum. The courses offered at B. S. H. S. prepare stu- dents for the business world of tomorrow. Typing, shorthand, business machines, and bookkeeping are all very essential for those students who are our future secreta- ries and bookkeepers. Students who will be the business leader of tomorrow greatly benefit from the study of business law, and co-operative office. With the skills and understanding of business principles learned through these courses, the success of future business and economic life is inevitable. The distributive education program pro- vides specialized c la s s r o o m instruction preparing students interested in business for careers in distribution, marketing, ser- vices of business establishments, such as retailing, wholesaling, manufacturing, stor- ing, t r a n s p o r t i n g , band, and financing. There are two types of programs available to the student, cooperative distributive edu- cation and preparatory marketing. Students are accepted from the junior and senior classes on the basis of interest, aptitude, and vocational objective. 24
