However, a senior's year, filled with many varied events, is considered the climax of these four years. The arrival of a senior's ring is tradi- tionally the first important happening. The senior now has the mark of distinction which makes him feel a little more importantfthan his underclassmen. Even though Homecoming includes all of Belmont High School, a senior feels some- what more sentimental since this is his last from a student's standpoint. H eninr's life The Monogram Banquet and Dance gives a senior the opportunity to be recognized for his athletic achieve- ments. Each year the juniors honor their seniors withaformal dance known as the Junior-Senior. This is especially important to a senior in that this is his last important event before grad- uation. A senior's graduation--the time of joy and tears--gives each senior his individual feeling of accomplish- ment. Twelve long years of work, pleasure, h ap p i n e s s , and sadness make this event truly one of the most importantnfootprints on the sands of time. The Freshman Party brings us closer to our school. It makes us feel that we are be- comingapart of the school, and moving up the social ladder. 1 The Sophomore Party is an exciting event. It's asymbol of another year's work complet- ed. Now it's only a year until the Junior-Sen- ior! Everyone enjoys the homecoming dance. We all gather to have a good time and con- gratulate our Football Queen. remember snnial events, nlzmses and . The changing of classes is mass confusion moving in one direction. Lunch is the best part of the day. Now we are free to talk and enjoy the companionship of our fellow class- men. Our School wouldn't be complete without Mr. Barnette chasing skippers at lunch. 7 'X Dedication and hard work play a very important part in the life ofa cheerleader. In the cold of the outdoors, in the heat of the gym, and in times of crisis, fans and cheerleaders are filled with school spirit. Sparta, musir, and Football guides a boy toward his goal in life, showing the ways of lead- ership and support. Team support and co-operation often help aboy to develop physically, spiritually, and morally. c ears cumhine in an anne schnul spirit. get it Boy's Basketball develops the young man's ability Through team play girls learn the value of sports to make quick decisions and to follow through with good manship and quick decisions in the face of opponents team play and good sportsmanship. maneuvers.
