THE CAMPANILE is named for the most characteristic feature of our campus, the beautiful bell tower — campanile — which rises above the Main Entrance. Our campanile represents Belmont to us and to the community, a symbol of vigilance and of aspiration. So at year ' s end THE CAMPANILE represents the student body of Belmont as a record of the year gone by — a view of the ter- ritory covered, a survey of the activities engaged in, an appraisal of achie ments attained.
