To the Class of 1985 As I think back to all the things we did as a class, for better or worse, whether it was sane or outrageous, important or just plain fun, I have only one thing to say — u e were the best. Never before has Belmont High seen such a diverse yet unified class. A class where all could attend a function and be satisfied that they were members of a distinct group — the Class of 1985. We did a lot in our years at Belmont High, and I find it only appropriate to recall some of the good times. Our Senior Halloween Party brought out creatures of the likes which we had never seen. We were visited by the Crest Team, the Rat Patrol, Billy Idol, ZZ Top, Clark Kent alias Superman, Maxwell Klinger, the Baseball Furies, Indians, Pirates, former Presidents . . . and Randy Sabatino? Our Senior Class Play, “Get Smart”, got rave reviews as Jeff Rosenthal and the cast were asked to perform on Broad- way (though the offer was turned down due to a salary dispute). Who could forget L.N.’s post-party (did anyone leave?) Local Haunts included Flippa’s B G, Tony’s, Hav’s, Ter- ry’s, Rosie’s, and Winnie’s cellar, not to mention a few unnamed vacant lots. Our ski weekends were . . . well . . . unique, as we blended just the right amount of skiing with a little bit of “fun”. The proms, semi-formals, dances, raffles, trips, and car washes were also successful and full of good times. But these events would not have been possible if it weren’t for every member of the class. So now as I walk for a last time down our senior corridor, my mind wanders to times past, yet not forgotten. I know the memories will never fade, but stay with me. As we go our seperate ways, I wish all of you the best of luck, and hope that you will always keep the memories of your years at Belmont High close to your heart. Thank you and Best Wishes. Jim Murphy CLASS ADVISOR CLASS OF 1985, “If you follow a path that interests you, not to the exclusion of love, sensitivity, and cooperation with others, but with the strength of conviction that you can move others by your own efforts, and do not make success or failure the criteria by which you live, the chances are you’ll be a person worthy of your own respect.” N. Simon Thanks for the memories of the past few years! Special thanks to Jim Murphy, Chris Sullivan, Liz Serino, Dave Hurley, and Tom Kenney. Good Luck! Love Anne Mullany P.S.
