It holds no dances, games, or social affairs. It buys books, books, and more books to assist its members in “learning to live,” and to show the way to enjoyment for all time. In 1919, the French Club was organized for the purpose of enabling its members to have a practical use for their classroom French. Provision to join was also extended to those who had formerly studied the language. Appreciation and enjoyment were the established goals of the Club. All activities have a French background; only French is spoken during the meetings. This year, we have enjoyed speakers, games, and field trips including one to a French restaurant to sample French foods.
