As the clock struck twelve we left the auditorium and went to the bus. We arrived in Belrnont at the break-of-day Sunday morning. Each of us had enjoyed the entire trip. SENIOR CLASS TRIP The Seniors, accompanied by Mrs. Deaton and Mrs. Fulton left Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock for Sheffield picnic grounds near Wilson Dam. On the way Mrs. Deaton, the class sponsor, gave each Senior a 51.00 bill as a present from her and her husband. Upon arriving at the park, various scouting parties left to explore the mysteries of the interior. About noon Mrs. Deaton took charge of fixing a meal, which was spread under the trees by the Tennessee River. After lunch, more exploring was done by the entire group. At 2 o'clock Mr. Deaton blew the bus whistle as a signal to assemble. We bundled into the bus and went to the Shoals Theatre, where we saw Fighter Squadron. As we came from the theatre we spied a carnival where we spent the remainder of the afternoon. We returned to Belmont in time to attend the play in Golden. 17
