Freshman Hlstory There are th1rty seven puplls 1n the Freshman class, twenty f1ve 51rls and twelve boys There are twelve new pup1ls from Morr1stown two from Jane Lew, West Verg1n1a and one from St Cla1rsv111e Two members of our class were elected .Tumor I-hgh Cheerleaders They are Pat Kobus and Ahce Fluharty Darlene Freeman and Sue Fulton part1c1pated 1n the Pr1nce of Peace contest Sue was chosen alternate 1n the county contest The Freshman are go1ng to have a play 1n Apr1l Sophomore H1StOIY In the fall of 1951 we entered Belmont H1gh School as Freshman w1th twenty n1ne members Our class presented Peck's Bad Boy a three act comedy, 1n Apr11 under the d1rect1on of Mrs M1tche11 In our class of 1952 53 we now have th1rty one members We lost three and g,a1ned s1x students On November 13, 1952, we presented our class play, Rest Assure under the drrectxon of M1ss Groves In March we ordered our Class RIHBS In the bpnng the g1rls w11l probably serve at the Jun1or Sen1or Banquet, as usual Jun1or Hlstory In 1950 thxrty one students entered hxgh school as Freshman Our greatest event of that year was present1ng that play The Mov1 s Come to Town under the d1rect1on of Mrs M1tchel1 Another event was the Junlor and Sen1or banquet at whxch all of the g1rls served Thlrty one student entered as Sophomores, 1n the fall of the year In the fall of the year we presented the play I-I1 and S1s 1n New York On January 15 1952, we selected our class r1ngs We rece1ved them about one month before school started the next fall As JHHIOTS we entered school Wlth twenty seven students Two of our greatest events of 1953 were the present1ng of our play ' The Board1ng House Reach, under the d1rect1on of Mrs Newhart and the plannlng and presentlng of the Jun1or and Sen1or Banquet 28 . . - . . - . 7. 1 1 1 e 4 a - 0 Q 1 . , - - 1 ' 1 Q n ..
