TO KNOW THE DISPOSITION In the years that are to come, you, Abbey men of 1961, will open this book with fond remembrance of those many days of happiness and hard work when you studied and lived and played under the inspi- ration and leadership of the Benedictine Monks. Led by the very able and wonderful Right Reverend Abbot Walter A. Coggin, these dedicated men have molded you and shaped you and your way of life. Even until the day you pass from this world, their influence will have a marked influence upon you and all that you do. Under the Crusader banner you have lived and, we know, have learned to be men- -men in whom honor stands above all else. Loyalty and inner strength, kindness and compassion, love of God and fellowman--all these attributes and many more have been instilled in you, to be passed on in turn to your children; they shall stand as monuments to your achievements as a student at Belmont Abbey College. You are truly Abbeymen .
