Trying to meet a deadline. Richard R. Jones We finished this book only after many trying experiences. For in- stance, there were many times when we thought a page complete only to discoverthatwedidn ' tknowthat guy inthethirdrowor what office some- one else held. We spent hours laying out pages, and then re-laying them out again; writing copy, only to con- dense it; alphabetizing, only to dis- cover a left out ' B ' . This book is not only a history of the year, but also a dedication to industrious men.

STUDOT As government is the creation of people aris- ing from their needs, so too the Student Government is the product and instrument of the students, acting on their behalf as legislator, judge, repre- sentative, voice and link with the college admini- stration. By means of a new constitution, the Student Government has managed to accomplish new programs and re-establish old ones. Among these accomplishments are: a new constitution devised by the students with the aid of faculty consultation; the organization of an orientation program; the establishment of the Judiciary Board; the establishment and operation of a student sponsored film series; and the re -establishment of Belmont Abbey College in the United States National Student Association.
