A likeable chap, rather slow, but well meaning, and a lieutenant on the staff. BOYCE J. Hanna Gastonia. N. C. Jackson Thc hidden soul of harwuiit One of Gastonia ' s leading radio announcers, Boyce has a large group of friends. He is also a football player but stays on light duty as much as possible. Radio is his field. Andrew T. Healy. Jr. MlA.MI, Fla. Drew By whispering winds soon hilled to sleep Drew is tall, lanky, and good looking. He plays halfback, and is on the baseball team. Occasionally he is caught napping but his mind is wide awake — you know, the spirit is willing, etc. Charles W. Jenkins, Jr. Gastonia, N. C. Silver To old experience dne attain Silver is an Abbey veteran, friendly, talkative, and can be heard in practically every bull session. His favorite haunts are the Minute Grill and Gene ' s Soda Shop.

PREP Felix H. Dover Gastonia, N. C. Felix So bii.voni, blithe, and debonaire Felix has a personality that can ' t be beat. A mainstay on the football team, he is sincere and conscientious, and will make his mark. Maxime L. DuCharme Washington, D. C. Max The cynosure of neighboring eyes A happy-go-lucky fellow, handsome, plays foot- ball, and loves a good bull session. His effervescent friendliness and his g-entltmanly manner has won many fi lends for him during his past four years at the Abbey. He is a cadet lieutenant. Dennis C. Dunn Charlotte, N. C. Denny Come and trip it as gon go, on the light tdnfnsfie toe Denny is full of humor, an excellent actor and likes football. He has quite a repertoire of jitter- bug steps, and ranks cadet captain and president of his class. Edward J. Fahey Brooklyn, N. Y. Ed For aiiijiircl oft prorlaiins the man Ed is a typical New Yorker; frequents Char- lotte, is a good football player, and displays a be- coming smile. He is vice-president of his class and captain of Company A . kii

PREP Richard W. Kimbrough Atlanta, Georgia Dick Hiiil goddess of nocturnal sport After four years of service, Dicl is an active and enthusiastic Abbey vet. His quiet manner and serious mien fools no one because he is earnest and sincere. His main interest is at S. H. C, and absorbs all his time. A good student, he finds time for the one interest . John W. Maloney, Jr. Charleston, S. C. Bill Jest, and yonihfnl jollity That he is from Charleston is enough to describe Bill, but his popularity is deserved. Happy and optimistic, his lilting laugh is infectious and gets Bill out of many difficulties. A cadet lieutenant, he is a leader of his men. Fred V. Napoleone Fresno, Calif. Nap ' ' fills the air with barbarous dissonance Here is a lad whose scrapes never perturb him. His ready smile gives him balance, though his grin may mean mischief. Popular and well liked, this Californian is part of the Abbey. As first sergeant he carries his heavy duties lightly. John M. Neilson Charlotte, N. C. Johnny What a grace was seated on his brow Popular day student, Johnny is busy about many things. A man you look at twice, he is neverthe- less serious in his activities. Co-captain of the football team, he sparked the spirit of the Ramblers that won them many victories. Johnny will be successful and a leader.
