SUNDERLAN D To the Seniors: For years you have been looked after, cajoled, ordered, steered, pled with, and cared for in our schools. We have done the best that we can for you. Now we stand back and admire the finished product. We like to think it is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. You have been given the necessary tools to make of your life what you will. Whether your house of life be a magnificent structure on the hill of fame or a humble cottage in the valley of mediocrity, build it well. Having you here has been a pleasure. Saying good-bye to you will cause us pain. You can compensate by making your mark in the world. Our love and best wishes go with you. Looking back into the past we saw our gradua- ting class taking its place in the history of our school. We began by electing Carol Wyland. .Io Ann Tucci, Albert Dillen and Gary Murray as our representatives in the student government . . . September, 1952. Sophomores. Now more familiar with our surroundings we began our second year in high school. This year we elected as representatives in our Student Council, Suzanne Strunk, john O'Brien and Albert Dillen . . . September, 1953. Juniors. This is the year we organized our class for the Hrst time. As President we elected john O'llrien: Vice President, .Iohn Fowler: Secretary. Carol Edmiston and Treasurer, Ray Rossi. Mr. Harold Wagner was our advisor. For our Student Council representatives we elected Suzanne Strunk who was Vice President, June Cherry, who was Secretary: Ray Rossi, and .Iohn O'l3rien. November 25 and April 30 were two of the most memorable dates of our history. They were the dates of the day we received our class rings and the clay we presented our most successful prom under the supervision of our advisor . . . September, 1954. Seniors. Now we see ourselves for the last time as students of Bellwood-Antis High School. This being our most important year, we chose for our class oflieers Fred Maurer, president: Charles lNIcClellan. vice president: Martha Riggs, secretary and Ray Rossi, treasurer. Ray Rossi was elected as president of the Student Council along with Carol Edmiston, Suzanne Strunk, Fred Maurer, Charles McClellan and john O'Brien. To help support our class we sold refreshments at the football and basketball games and presented our class play, In Spring the Sap. Towards the end of the year we took a very enjoyable trip to our nation's capital. We ended the year with Baccalaureate and Commencement . . . june, 1955. Graduates. Now as we look into the future, we see each of our class mates traveling down his own path of life. We shall always remember the role we played in the history of our Alma Mater. lklpl IIITIIN SENIOR STARS SCHOLARSHIP Sonya Nearhoof James Shope ACTIVITIES Suzanne Strunk Richard Hummel MOST VHRSATILE Carole Myers john O'Brien ATHLETIC Nancy Sneath Albert Dillen MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED Ruth Marsden Ray Rossi CITIZENSHIP Louise Parshall Fred Maurer SENIGRS Remember with fondness the four yezrs of study, play and concentration PATRICIA LOUISE BAKER Kfpatll ACADEMIC A real cute gal . . . pounded the tympani . . . plans to study nursing at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
