SACHEM-Supervising Principal XVhen Mr. Paul Kurtz left his position at Bellwood-Autis three years ago, Mr. YVeiss became acting supervising principal having already had nine years experience as assistant supervising principal. Ile graduated from Nazareth High School and from Allbright College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mr. VVeiss also has a Master of Science degree from Pennsylvania State College. Before coming to Bellwood-Antis, he taught and was principal of the Bethel Township School at Xvitfl'-0l'ClSlJlll'Qf, Pennsyl- vania. lf? ij Mr. George D. NVQ-iss . rf ' 1 Our congratulations and best wishes go to the young men and women of the class of '46 for having achieved this mile post in their educational career. Your educational journey. thus far. has been made through epoch-making days. Your exit from public school days and entrance into either the problems of life or the problems of further education is made at a time when the world is leaving one great epoch and entering another. Your individual problems will, therefore in a sense, coincide with those which the world at large faces. The members of the class of 316 will be growing up with the age in which atomic problems must be solved. It is necessary for you, in a certain sense, to adapt yourselves to this new age, but in a broader sense. you must mould this new age to meet your needs and those of your fellowmen. This will be a difficult task, but with the proper attack and the proper outlook, you and millions of others, who are begin- ning to take your places in the world of work, will not likely find it impossible. The best wishes of your elders go with you. ll
