In the course of the year the club performed various services for the school: they assisted as police- men at the spring track meets. And the group staged a Basketball Carnival where the Faculty were defeated by the Varsity: the Merchant All-Stars engaged the Reserves and the Junior High lost to the Rinky-Dinks. The sale of subscriptions of THE BELLVILLE STAR was an additional undertaking. Awards were given to all senior members and Gene Barr was honored with the presentation of The Athletic Scholastic Trophy.
