ROW FOUR: Lloyd Walker, Secretary: Dick Gehrisch, Dave Collins, Larry Walker, Tom Barr, Lynn Holdren, Jon Hershey. A newly organized Varsity B Club was instituted among the social and service groups. In the course of the year the club performed various services for the school: they assisted as police- men at the spring track meets. And the group staged a Basketball Carnival where the Faculty were defeated by the Varsity: the Merchant All-Stars engaged the Reserves and the Junior High lost to the Rinky-Dinks. The sale of subscriptions of THE BELLVILLE STAR was an additional undertaking. Awards were given to all senior members and Gene Barr was honored with the presentation of The Athletic Scholastic Trophy.

The year's activities centered around the re-organization of the membership and the acquaintance of prospective student teachers with the life and duties of a teacher. Each member was assigned to assist a teacher in the numerous classroom situations, duplication and correction of tests, substitution. As a portion of the social activities, the Lexington Chapter of the Future Teachers initiated the local group into the State and National organizations at a Candlelight Ceremony ln the latter part of April.
