Qllmss isiurg We welcomed Joyce Morgan and were sorry to see Sonia Lemley, Betty Linton, Joe Butterbaugh, Doris Finkey and Ed Secrist leave our group. We selected as our officers President, Lynn Holdren, Vice-Presi- dent, Judy Pattersong Secretary, Charlotte Ruhlg Treasurer, Nanci Spaydeg and Student Council, Darryl Eyster. The major activities for this year centered around our two class plays and the Junior-Senior Prom. The first play was The Night Crawlers directed by Miss Margie Kauf and the second was The Perfect Idiot . This play, directed by Miss Margaret Terrell, the theater-in-the- round style on the gym floor. In the latter part of April, plans of decorations, menus, invitations were completed for our prom. The evening commenced with a delicious dinner which consisted of: ham, escalloped potatoes, corn, and cherry pie a la mode. This was served at Temple Hills. Later we danced in the beautifully decorated ballroom to the music of The Blue Notes Nanci Spayde became our junior Homecoming attendant and Linda McPhern was selected as Cupid's Hop attendant. In the spring it was announced that Lois Spohn would represent Bellville at Buckeye Girls' State and Chuck Bowers at Boys' State. When we cameback for our final year we spied Mr. Weikle who, with the help of Mr. Kirkwood, became our class sponsors. We welcomed Herb Martin but regreted that Dick Partin, Dianne Gehrisch, ,T im Smith and Ron Maxwell withdrew from school. This year Lynn Holdren was picked to lead us with Lloyd Walker, Vice-Presidentg Charlotte Ruhl, Secretaryg Gene Barr, Treasurerg and Bonnie Breyman, Student Council. Selected by the Football Squad, J' can Fulton reigned as the 1959 Homecoming Queen while Charlotte Ruhl acted as senior attendant. Sharon Shumaker was the Sweetheart of the Cupid's Hop along with Rosalie Gonzalez, attendant, and Priscilla Fry, Mistress of Ceremonies. Several of our money-making activities included the Senior play You Can't Take It With You directed by Miss Margaret Terrell, football and basketball refreshment stands, selling Richland County Tournament Programs and a spaghetti supper. Our last memories of our high school days were the Junior-Senior Prom and Baccalaureate and Commencement. Written by: Bonnie Dudgeon, Sharon Shumaker, Sharon Woodard, Bonnie Breyman and Lloyd Walker.
