LYNN HOLDREN, PRESIDENT, ABSENT FROM PICTURE. 0112155 if-iurg On September 9, 1948, there were seventy-seven eager children registering for the first time in a twelve-year course of study in the Bellville Local Schools. The first eight years we were under the guidance of Mrs. Martha Cline, Mrs. Helen Cooper, Mrs. Eulala Woodward, Mrs. Nellie Fisher, Mrs. Ethel Miller, Mrs. Lois Devore, Miss Gloriana J ohnsonbaugh, Mrs. Marie Hathaway, Mrs. Wilma Williams, Mr. Wayne Workman, Mr. Charles Everly, Mr. L, P, Reed, Miss Margie Kauf, and Mr. Tony Megna. Seventy-two freshmen were greeted at the doors by Miss Margie Kauf and Mr. John Thrawl. Our class roll gained Caro1Arnold,JohnBowrnan, Shirley Crunkleton, Marilyn Heslep, Judy Mason, Fred Myers, Faye Reedy and Bill Wolfe, But we were sorry to lose Rubin Davis, Harry Delesk, Bob Compton, Penny Whitmore, Rosalie Glass, Patty Graham, Dick Hall, Gene Garber, Ruth Ann Litt, Ed Pearl, Dale Shaffer, Ida Mae Walker, Regina Long, Larry Walker, The class supported the policies of our new officers: Don Whatman, President: Gene Barr, Vice-Presidentg Dianne Gehrisch, Secretary, Sharon Shumaker, Treasurerg Judy Patterson, Student Council. Dianne Gehrisch became our first Homecoming attendant, and Pat Kilgore was honored as a Cupid's Hop Attendant by the F ,H.A. girls. We commenced our Sophomore year under the able assistance of Miss Margie Kauf and Mr. John Thrawl, class advisors. For the second semester we were piloted by Miss Eilene Boerger. Sondra Cupp and Rodney Brown increased the number of students in our class. We lost Shirley Crunkleton, Darrell Fry, Marilyn Heslep, Judy Mason, John Mays, Fred Myers, Bill Wolfe, Raymond Vining, Carol Jones and Linda Hoeflich. Gene Barr was elected as Presidentg Chuck Bowers, Vice-Eresidentg Charlotte Ruhl, Secretary, Darryl Eyster, Treasurer, and Betty Linton, Student Council Representative. We chose our class colors as red and white, and our motto, Not finished, just begun . Our class flower is the red carnation. As our Homecoming attendant we chose Bonnie Breyman and Joan Fulton was elected an attendant to the Cupid's Hop. When we entered our junior year Mrs. Eileen Miller and Mr. Malcolm Weilde eagerly greeted us.
