The 1987-88 cheerleaders, mascot, and their sponsor Benja Pritchett started getting ready in July. They attended East Texas State University where the Uni- versal Cheerleaders Association held a camp. The cheerleaders at- tended cheer, stunts, and part- ners classes from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. The cheerleaders re- ceived gold and blue Superior ribbons and two excellence rib- bons. The cheerleaders brought back the spirit stick. The cheer- leaders have shown school spirit at football games, pep rallies, and all other school activities. When football season was all over, they were still showing leadership and pride in their school. Co-head cheerleaders were seniors Mandy Holland and Jennifer Bateman. Other cheerleaders were Robin Metcalf, Regina Thomas, Kim Do- phied, and Rachelle Garner. Sports H4-J! Varsity Cheerleaders for the 1987-88 were Jennifer Bateman, Kim Dophled, Mandy Holland, Rachelle Garner, Robin Metcalf, and Regina Thomas and cheerleader sponsor Benja Pritchett. These cheerleaders showed school spirit throughout the football season and the entire school year. guna. .,., Cheerleaders Rachelle Garner, Robln Metcalf, and Mandy Holland performed cheers before the football game. These glrls, along with the rest of the cheerleading squad, show a lot of spirit before the game as well as during and after the game. Wln or lose they're always supportive with lots of school spirit.

The Middle School Cheer- leaders had a lot of activities dur- ing pep rallies to get the classes involved. The seventh grade dressed Justin Bachman up as a wolf and the eighth grade marched with picket signs to show their school spirit. Some of the cheerleaders attended Mini- Cheer Camp and worked hard.
