Ii if S S Q mfm 1., 1 ' 1 ff . ' 4 Class of '90 For the sophomores this school year is also a total change. They are more challenged and say the new school has affected their at- titude toward education. They have a better outlook and are try- ing harder to make the most of their time at Bells High School. The new school has improved everyone's attitude and im- proved student morale, said Bri- an Blackmon. Some sophomores think they are getting more personal atten- tion. Others are glad they aren't so cramped and everyone is get- ting along a lot better. Our sopo- mores do not mind having closed campus. They love the cafeteria food - there's more variety this year and more of what everyones likes to eat. Our sophomores are glad not to be freshmen because there's not so much pressure on them from upperclassmen. They are accepted as part of the Bells High gang, so they feel better. They've been freshman and are mingling well in high school life. Just like everyone here at Bells High School, sophomores are glad to be here and very happy about the new school. Class of '91 The Freshmen at Bells underwent some big changes this year. Last year the Freshmen at least had the 7th and 8th graders under them. This year they were at the very bottom of the totem pole. Well, just how does lt feel to be I Freshman at the new Bells Hlgh School? We asked our freshmen and these guys gave us some pretty strong answers. Bells Hlgh School is DEFINITELY a world of it's own, stated Jennifer Clark. Never before have l heard the word 'nerd' spoken ln every sentence. UppercIassmen say the word FRESHMAN llke it's a disease, explalns Shari Pointer. These guys are screaming for a llttle dlgnlty and re- spect. Even though they are mistreated at times, they are stlll very proud to be a part of the good things happenlng at Bells High. Franklln Colwell summed it up pretty well. l feel our school ls somethlng of which we can be proud. lthlnk It glves everyone a sense of accomplishment. We all knew we needed a new school. Now that we've got lt, I hope we have the responslblllty to keep it new.
