' mafia ' I I Middle School pep rallies have made a place in lots of peo- ple's hearts. This year not only marked a new beginning for the junior high, but also started a few traditions of their own. In the past junior high was considered a part of the high school pep rallies: this year they were able to create new ideas of their own. The cheerleaders instigated much excitment with raps, pie throws, and lots of spirit. Signs were made for the football players' lockers wishing them luck. Skits were written to enter- tain and build spirit at pep rallies. Competition between the classes was fierce. The faculty also enjoyed taking part in the spirited pep rallies as did the entire student body. The partici- pation by faculty and classes in these pep rallies was rewarded with the presentation of spirit sticks and a winning season by the football team. Overall the football season for 1987 was very exciting for all who were involved. is 24 Student Life I 'gif Mrs. Mills discovered how Mr. Dickens en- joys his favorite pieg whole, without the use of forks and knives. ls this the begin- ning of a new way to eat lemon pie at Bells Middle School?
