Wd! u'e'ZZZweme7 Mark Garner, Gary Morrison, Jeana Tay- lor, Reglna Thomas, Shelly Vick, and Den- ise Larklns presented a prophesy of the future of the members of the senior class in a play entitled The Edge of Savoy . The plans were finally settled, and the decorations were all chosen and ready for the classes of '87 and '88 to arrive. By 7:30 P. M., May 8, 1987, the places were filled, and the evening's events began. Soon it was time for The Edge of Savoy , a short play portraying the members of the class of '87 as we saw them in the future. As the Edge of Savoy progressed, the futures of the class of '87 unfolded before our eyes. After the reading of the class will came the dance. Fortunately the girls could dance because they danced together all evening long. The guys seemed content as spectators. Even Mrs. Carnes and Mrs. Emory got into the swing of things. The question is, Who did these esteemed ladies dance with? The girls, of course. Not all of the girls danced. One particular blonde senior of '88 waited patiently in the restroom as the events progressed. Others were busy tending to or fighting with their dates. Nevertheless, the 1987 Junior-Senior Prom was a definite show of the bonds formed through the years between the Juniors and the Seniors. Now the seniors of '87 have gone on their separate ways. As time passes, we will all remember the prom that saw the last of our old friends. To the class that went before us, there is a place re- served for each of you in our memories forever. A gospel quartet, the Waymakers, sang and told jokes to entertain the members of FHA, their parents, faculty members, and other honored guests. Melanie Jones told everyone in a humor- ous monologue about all the things that she was going to do on her upcoming trip to Washington, D.C.
