After all the hard work, sweat, and practice has been put ing and after all the games have been played, it is time for the big pay- off. Everyone gathered in the middle schooI's gym in April, 1987, to pay tribute to our schooI's athletes. There were many well deserved awards hand- ed out and many heart-warming speeches given. Some of our athletes worked extra hard and were true leaders for their team. Being a good athlete involves more than just ath- letic ability and an outstanding record. The best athletes are the ones who kept a good attitude throughout the year and kept trying even when it seemed impossible to win. We are especially proud of the players who exhibited these qualities. 10 Student Life
