' BOY SCOUTS - The number of Boy Scout Troops has increased in the United States since the introduction of the movement into the United States by W. D. Boyce in 1909. Troop 212, was organized in the summer of 1935 under the ' sponsorship of the Bellgoint Parent Teacher Association and direction of Mr. J. W. alisbury. Nine boys became scouts, October 21-L, and Troop 212 received its charter. Since that date other boys have been initiated at different times.. At the present time we have twelve scounts. At the most recent Court of Honor seven scouts were advanced to second class. They are: Joe Boylan, Galvin Cone, John Rutherford Eugene Arehart, Roger Kincaid, George Edelblute, James Ingmire, and James Webster. Boy Scouts were summoned to collect necessities to be sent to the sufferers of the winter flood. As an observance of Boy Scout Week we presented a program for the Parent Teachers' Association consisting of a regular meeting and a program. During the winter months we played four basketball games with nearby troops and were victorious in fifty per cent of the contests. Mr. E. E. Burtner was selected to act as a troop committee man making the committee complete. Eliminations for the annual Boy Scout Oirous were held in Delaware, April 24th. Our signalling and knot-tying teams were selected to represent this district at the fifty-first Boy Scout-O-Rama, May first. The Boy Scout-O-Rama was held at the Coliseum on the Ohio State Fair Grounds. Our signalling and knot tying teams were defeated. During the past year our troop has been very successful and has participated in many of the events. James Webster, Scribe -371
