The STUDENT SENATE Student Senate was organized again last fall for the third consecutive year. The Student Senate is a very important organization--in fact, it is the leading organization of the school. Meetings were held regularly at which time problems concerning the pupil, the school, and anything which arises pertaining to school functions, were discussed. This body has been in existence for only three years but has made much progress. There were seven members of this body comprising one representative from the Freshman class -- Marie Staley, one representative from the Sophomore class -- William Kilburyg two representatives from the Junior Class -- Merle Macklin and Clarins Mooreg and three representatives from the Senior class -- Beale Frye, Leona Van Gundy, and Grace Prouty. At the first meeting of the Senate the adviser, Mr. Salisbury, explained the purpose and duties. The following officers were electedz' Grace Prouty, Presidentg Leona Van Gundy, Vice-Presidentg Olarine Moore, Secretary and Treasurer. Other meetings have been held throughout the year to formulate rules and by-laws for the Constitution of the Student Senate. A new project which the Senate sponsored this year was the presenting of motion pictures. A movie was presented every six weeks, which the Senate believes has been entertaining and educational to all concerned.
