JU N IORS The Junior Glass of '37 entered the high school ring in 1934- The largest class that ever entered Bellpoint High School, consisted of seventeen members. The initiation played the largest part of the class activities. The class President Mary Healy Vice-President, Maryalys Thomas Secretary, Bernice Young Treasurer, Virginia Rutherford Student Senate Member, Maryalys Th officers were as follows: 011188 In the fall of '35, the seventeen members came back to enter the second round of the fight. Their tendency of revenge was fulfilled by initiating the freshmen. This was quite successful, at least the freshmen thought so. This year, the class offices were fulfilled by the following: President, Virginia Rutherford Vice-President, Eileen Webster Sec'y-Treas., Mary Freshwater Student Senate Member, Bernice Young. In the fall of '36, sixteen members returned ready to begin the favorite year of the nBig Fouru5 Almost at once, plans were being discussed, concerning the annual Haloween Carnival, which was held October 30, 1936. Many prizes were given for the masking contest. The Glass wishes to extend thanks to the public for their cooperation in the financial way. Entertainment consisted of dancing, contests and concessions. Members of Junior Glass have received their rings and are well pleased with them. A Three Act Comedy was presented by the Juniors December 9 1936. Quite a lot of time was spent in preparation. Those not in the cast worked extremely hard to make the play a success. Advertising, scenery and furniture were all arrange- ed by members, not in the play. The cast included the following: . Mrs. Emma Lambert, who runs Barge Inn..C1arine Moore Enid Lambert, her charming daughter....Marya1ys Thomas Slim Williams, who is in love with Enid..Robert Poling Idora Evans, maid of all work at The Inn.Ei1een Webste Harold Orr, a publicity man...........Merle Macklin Madeline Orr, his wife, who is given to exagerrating.a.4.....Bernice Young Miss Ivy Trask, a guest at The Inn....Mary Freshwater Rollow Jones, who gets into hot water and canft get out.4.........James Thomas Zella Fiery, of the 'Daily Bug1eU..4.JMary Healy Emory Jones, who is accustomed to having his own way,:...g....a4.JJohn Miller ...2 9...
