The tradition of selecting the Queen of May was instigated by the Class of 1935. This honor has been given to the Junior girl who is outstanding in her class and who has achieved merits that would qualify her for this rare honor. Personality, character and scholarship are the qualities upon which the selection is based. Homage will be paid to the May Queen in an impressive ceremony to be held May 20, at which time she is crowned Queen of the May. For her attendants, the May Queen has chosen Mary Louise Healy, Maryalys Thomas, Clarins Moore and Virginia Rutherford.
