PTA. The three big factors in building childhood are the home, the school and the church. The Parent-Teacher Association is vitally interested in all these institutions. In the Parent- Teacher Association, the first two of these have been brought into close relationship. There is great need for the parent to have knowledge of the methods, the procedures and the problems of the teacher in her attempt to educate the children. On the other hand, the teacher is greatly benefited in her work with the child if she can know and understand the family background and early training. Thus the personal contact which the P.T.A. makes possible gives each, the parent and the teacher, the opportunity to better understand the child and his problems. This contact in recreational as well as educational work, fosters a feeling of good fellowship and cooperation between the parent and the teacher. We have, for several years, had at Bellpoint a prosperous Parent-Teacher Association. This year under the leadership of Mrs. Clark many interesting meetings have been held. At the December meeting of the P,T.A. a Christmas operetta was given by the first six grades. Grades one to four presented WTrouble in Toylandgn grades five and six, UA Penny for Christmas.W At the March meeting of P.T.A. after a short business session UThe Kiddies Vaudevillen entertained us. The program Was in two parts, NThe Toy Maker's Dreamn and UJack in the Box.n The program was arranged by Mrs. Salisbury, Miss Richards and Miss Webster. This year the school library greatly benefited from the P.T.A. Around twenty-five educational and entertaining books by our best classic and modern authors were added to our book shelves. We hope that next year each of the one hundred and seven l935-36 members will bring with him a new member to increase Bellpoint Parent-Teacher Association. .l0lllClQUlUl Vice-president ... ..
