Front row: Maryalys Thomas, Virginia Rutherford, Eileen Webster, Miss Fisher, Rose VonMoegen, Mildred Shively, Susan Shively. The Class of '38 came into high school in the fall of 1934. In the class, the largest in the high school, there were seventeen students. Their initiation, which was sponsored by the Sophomore Class, was taken in good spirits, since they know that the next year they would have the fun of planning the party. The class officers were as follows: President, Mary Healyg Vice-president, Maryalys Thomas, Secretary, Bernice Young, Treasurer, Virginia Rutherford, Representative of Student Council, Maryalys Thomas. In the fall of 1935 they returned to school feeling quite dignified because they knew they were no longer Uthe green freshmenn. They still have seventeen members in their class. The class planned the Freshman initiation which was held September 27, 1935 in the Bellpoint High School auditorium. The Freshmen took their initiation in good spirits, a fact which pleased the Sophomores greatly. The class was well represented in athletics: John Miller, Robert Poling, James Thomas and Vernon Geller were on the basket- ball and baseball teamsg the girls played on intramural basketball teams. They were commonly known as the Nfreshiesu and the initiation was held September 27, l935. The class was represented in sports by Bill Kilbury and Joe Boylan.
