rfxllfsf - pl .nm ruff. HIS ICAO! Our school history is divided into three periods: Ancient, Medieval and Modern. The ancient days started back in 1924, when we were under the authority of Miss Staley for two years. There are only five members of the present senior class who were among the fifteen who started together. In the third grade we were fortunate to have Miss Heekleman. In the fourth grade we changed teachers again. It seemed as if the teachers didn't like us. Miss Furniss was our instructor that year. The year of 1928 was the beginning of the medieval period. Miss Monson tolerated us for two years. In the seventh grade our teacher was Miss Staley a sister of our first and second grade teacher, and in the eighth grade, Miss Thompson. The modern history began when we were green freshmen. There were eleven of us who entered this period. Nothing very eventful happened to us as freshman except that we were initiated by the Sophomores. In the Sophomore year we had the privilege of initiating the Freshmen. As sophomores we made more progress for we realized that there was a group lower than we. Our Junior year, being a rather big year, kept us busy. We gave the community a large Hallowcfen party and dance. Our class play, NThe Importance of Being Earnest,H was huge success and we made enough to give the Seniors a very lovely banquet at Old Chase Tavern, in Worthington. By this time our class had decreased to seven. Maybe we were small but we were nighty. At last our school days are about to end. We now have a class of eight. The Juniors gave us a banquet, April 17, in the Junior Rose Room at the Hotel Virginia in Columbus. This was followed by a dance at the Cavalier Room. The Seniors worked very hard on an annual this year, an annual production which was begun by the Seniors of last year. Our play, URoom for Tenn, and our commencement activities have kept us very busy. The old tradition of getting school rings was adhered to. As a class of eight we feel that we have accomplished much, and now we are entering into the world looking forward to something bigger and better than our school days. -19-

August 2. A. D. Kilbury LAJ OFFICE New York ' New York A gust 1, 1250 - Today I was forced to set out on my trip to my old playq grounds at Bellpcint, Ohio. As I entered white Sulphur my X train was met by a large crowd. I didn't recognize any faces. I was later informed that this was the first trip of the Wwhite Sulphur Zephyr,N the first of the stream lined trains to run on this railroad. Ag I was getting ready to take a taxi to Bellpoint of which White Suplhur is a suburb, I ran into Betty Rodgers, my old high school sweetheart. She is still unmarried lives in White Sulphur and goes to Bellpoint every day to teach at East High. After leaving this old friend I went to Bellpoint and put up at the Boyd House, reputed to be one of the best hotels in Bellpoint. August 2, ' In the lobby of my hotel I met one of my old pals, Wray Sdbinsf After conversing several minutes, I asked if he was staying here. To my surprise he informed me that he owned the jointF' I-Ie insisted that TE go up and meet Mrs. Sabine and little VAsaW and WFreddie.W On entering I was surprised at meeting one of my old classmates, Darlene Dunlap. Mrs. Sabine, it seems after leaving Bellpoint became a famous dietician. Later while working in the 'Boyd Housen, Cupid shot that fatal, final shaft. Our conversation was interrupted several times by little nAsah and WFreddieW trying to Wbreak me of the habith with a bean shooter and a toy cannon. I spent the rest of the day trying to close a business deal. This forencon after leaving the hotel I took the subway to the Soldiers' Home, erected by President Landon for the veterans of the war of 1938. The Home was managed by two for- mer classmates, Doctors G, V. Webster and F.M. Freshwater. After trying for two hours to get in touch with them, I finallg succeeded. I learned that WDocU Webster had made good use of the mustache and Packard and Frances after four unsuccessful ventures into matrimcny is looking for a good husband. On my return I stopped at the home of Alice Easton who lives on Bunty Station Boulevard, the most aristocratic part of town. Alice is new known as hrs. Frye and is the hagpy mother of sic children, I returned to the hotel about P.M. and spent the rest of the dey visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bnbins. I-L2 011.
