rfxllfsf - pl .nm ruff. HIS ICAO! Our school history is divided into three periods: Ancient, Medieval and Modern. The ancient days started back in 1924, when we were under the authority of Miss Staley for two years. There are only five members of the present senior class who were among the fifteen who started together. In the third grade we were fortunate to have Miss Heekleman. In the fourth grade we changed teachers again. It seemed as if the teachers didn't like us. Miss Furniss was our instructor that year. The year of 1928 was the beginning of the medieval period. Miss Monson tolerated us for two years. In the seventh grade our teacher was Miss Staley a sister of our first and second grade teacher, and in the eighth grade, Miss Thompson. The modern history began when we were green freshmen. There were eleven of us who entered this period. Nothing very eventful happened to us as freshman except that we were initiated by the Sophomores. In the Sophomore year we had the privilege of initiating the Freshmen. As sophomores we made more progress for we realized that there was a group lower than we. Our Junior year, being a rather big year, kept us busy. We gave the community a large Hallowcfen party and dance. Our class play, NThe Importance of Being Earnest,H was huge success and we made enough to give the Seniors a very lovely banquet at Old Chase Tavern, in Worthington. By this time our class had decreased to seven. Maybe we were small but we were nighty. At last our school days are about to end. We now have a class of eight. The Juniors gave us a banquet, April 17, in the Junior Rose Room at the Hotel Virginia in Columbus. This was followed by a dance at the Cavalier Room. The Seniors worked very hard on an annual this year, an annual production which was begun by the Seniors of last year. Our play, URoom for Tenn, and our commencement activities have kept us very busy. The old tradition of getting school rings was adhered to. As a class of eight we feel that we have accomplished much, and now we are entering into the world looking forward to something bigger and better than our school days. -19-
