Througho ut the history of Bellows Free Academy, yearbooks have been dedicated to many loyal teachers and administrators. This year the Class of 1978 dedicates VISIONS OF ' 78 to a teacher who has not only been helpful to our class, but who has also been an asset to our school as an outstanding history teacher. This instructor regularly attends school activities and his enthusiasm is evident in everythmg he undertakes. He is seldom seen without a smile and is especially known for his sense of humor. We are privileged to dedicate VISIONS OF ' 78 to Mr. John Bostwick, teacher and coach, whom the Class of 1978 will always remember.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION Frances Lavarnway is retiring after fifteen years of dedicated service to Bellows Free Academy as a member of and later as Chairman of the Mathematics Department. Her retirement leaves a vacancy which it will be difficult to fill. Students will remember Mrs. Lavarnwav for her candor, for her ability to challenge them, and for her recognition of individual differences with the result that, upon comple- tion of a school ear. each student realized his efforts had been productive. Mrs. Lavarnway considers herself fortunate to have been able to do what she liked to do best. The Class of 1978 extends its best wishes to Mrs. Lavarnway in her retirement. In studving Law. Physics. Languages, or any other Art or Science, by which you propose to earn your Livelihood, though you find it at first hard, difficult and unpleasing, use Diligence.
